An outdoor holiday season

The school holidays are upon us – that time of year when the parental juggling act gets all Cirque du Soleil.

Not only are you juggling kids and work, but for the next six weeks you will be doing it balanced on a chair, on top of very small table...on a high wire.

But while you are busy juggling allow me to whisper one little question in your ear. How many summer holidays do you have left with your kids?

How long will it be before they cross that threshold of independence and no longer want to spend their free days with mum and dad?

How many opportunities do we really have to chalk up those meaningful family experiences?

The reality is that our time with our kids is short. We need to make every summer count. So why not get outdoors with the kids this holiday ?

It’s not as hard as you may think. There are lots of places near Perth where you can camp, walk trails, ride bikes, fish, body surf and spend time outdoors as a family. And there are even more in the regions.
