Camp for boys and dads

A Young Stars camp for boys aged 6–10 and their dads or male mentor will be held by the Pathways Foundation in May 2011.

Young Stars camp.The experience will involve:

  • Camping with your son in the bush.
  • Putting your tent up together.
  • Playing games, laughing and having fun together with other boys and dads.
  • Open fires, stars and stories.
  • Others doing the cooking and organising.
  • Precious time without distractions to revel in the joy and exuberance of your boy being a boy with you – his hero.

Date: 28 & 29 May 2011
Place: A campsite near Perth
Cost: $300 per pair (covers food, staff, venue and all materials
Accommodation: Camping, BYO tent
Food: All provided

Please note that Young Stars is a mobile and 'work stuff' free zone!

The camp is part of the not for profit Pathways Foundation's Rite of Passage Program, which in addition to the Young Stars program has two streams – one for young men and their fathers (a camp is planned for October) and one for young women and their mothers (a camp is planned for August).

A Young Stars camp for 13–16 year olds is planned for later in the year.
