Nature Navigators, ages 8-12

Do you think you could navigate around Piney Lakes Reserve using a map and coordinates?

In teams, you will navigate your way through nature. At each stop you will be learning about local animals and what they need in their habitat to survive. Once you have chosen your animal to match the habitat, you will use I-pads to take photos as proof on how this animal would survive in this vegetation area.

Once you have navigated your way back to base, we will delve into some of the threats these species face, with a focus on fire. We will then get wet while trying to save the black cockatoos from an approaching fire!
