The Blackwood River Walk is a six-kilometer loop trail, starting at Blackwood River Park in Bridgetown.
This trail follows the Blackwood River, winding along the riverbank through the lush green forest. It's a particularly beautiful walk to do on a frosty morning, when the birds are singing and mist is hanging in the air.
This is a grade one walk that is relatively flat and suitable for wheelchair users who have someone to assist them. For more Points of Interest and things to do at Blackwood River National Park, download our free Every Kid in a Park app, or click the link in our bio.

One of our favourite spots in Blackwood River National Park is the stunning Chapman Pool at Warner Glen.
This is a beautiful space with picnic areas, a lookout, river pool and campground. The easy access to the river makes this a perfect spot for swimming, canoeing and kayaking.
An elevated platform offering scenic views can be found by following the walk path through the forest.
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash, and there are no toilets available.
