Whitfords Nodes Park and Playground is a coastal adventure spot with something for everyone, from nature play and climbing challenges to walking trails, wide open spaces and easy access to the beach. The park is located on Whadjuk Noongar Country, and the broader Whitfords Nodes reserve extends into Kallaroo, an Aboriginal word meaning ‘road to the water’ – a fitting connection for a place where paths wind through the coastal dunes towards the Indian Ocean.

Be sure to check out these unique play features!

Play by the sea – Combine a playground visit with a walk through the dunes to the beach for sand play, paddling and exploring along the coast (a walk or ride to Hillarys Boat Harbour is less than 2km’s). 

Challenge for bigger kids – The Ninja Warrior obstacle course, dune stairway and fitness equipment give older kids and teens plenty of opportunities to climb, balance, test their skills, walk and talk. 

Nature play for younger explorers – Dig in the sand, balance on logs, climb trees, scramble over timber and rope equipment, discover cubby-like spaces and explore the park’s coastal surroundings.
