Physiotherapists in Queensland schools treating “tech neck”, screentime issues the tip of the iceberg – 6PR Weekend Breakfast

Nature Play WA’s CEO Dr Kelsie Prabawa-Sear chats with 6PR’s Weekend Breakfast presenter Jamie Burnett, about the importance (and challenges around) getting our kids outdoors.

With the recent news that a Queensland primary school has employed a physiotherapist to address “tech neck” and posture problems in children as a result of screentime useage, Kelsie and Jamie discuss ways to prevent these issues, rather than treat them after they occur.

Kelsie also speaks about the importance of children spending time outdoors taking part in free play, not just for physical health, but also mental health, resilience, decision-making and problem-solving too!
