Set on the banks of Djarlgarro Beelier (Canning River), Shelley Beach Foreshore is a beautiful riverside place for play, picnics and exploring nature. The Shelley Beach Playground provides beautiful river views, as well as a fully fenced play space that is suitable for children of all ages – including climbing frames, a flying fox, elevated platforms and slides, as well as a water play feature and ninja warrior course.ย

The playground sits alongside the Djarlgarro Beelier (Canning River), with wide sealed paths connecting the play space to the jetty and riverside walking and cycling routes. 

The fenced playground includes a mix of adapted and traditional play equipment, including a wheelchair accessible trampoline, parent-child swing, climbing structures, water play and a ninja warrior course. 

Waterbirds, river views, natural loose parts and Aboriginal-inspired elements help connect the play space to the surrounding environment, with opportunities for imaginative and sensory play throughout the area.
