  1. Rainbow Stompers

    We are a friendly group of LGBTQI families interested in getting our kids out into nature a bit more. We meet on the first Sunday of the month at various locations.
  2. Gokotta Family Nature Club

    Gokotta (n.) Lit. "dawn picnic to hear the first birdsong"; the act of rising in the early morning to watch the birds or to go outside and appreciate nature. pronunciation | yo-kOt-tah Origin |Swedish The Gokotta Family Nature Club was started by a member of the Nature Play WA team in their neighbourhood (Wembley) for the purpose of joining other interested families together to participate in fun outdoor activities including picnics, walks, geocaching, camping, kayaking and exploring Perth's beautiful national parks and play spaces - basically, enjoying time with our kids outside!
  3. South West Orienteering Trekkers (SWOT)

    SWOT has been operating as a club for just over 30 years. We are a family friendly club that encourages physical activity for all ages and fitness levels. Orienteering is a family sport that requires navigational skills using a map and sometimes a compass. We have street (summer) and bush (autumn/winter) events throughout the year in Bunbury and greater Bunbury area/South West. We have a website and also a Facebook page - like us on Facebook!

    We are a family friendly Club that caters for all ages, located in South East of Perth. We discover all things Nature, close to the beautiful Canning River. We also arrange camping weekends away, bush walking and fishing.

  6. Hike it Baby

    Hike it Baby is a parents group which has over 150 branches worldwide dedicated to getting families together and out into nature with newborns and little ones. We have a wide variety of hikes and urban strolls and the best part is all of our hikes are FREE! Hikes are led by volunteers, therefore we ask that you please sign our waiver and come join us. We welcome everyone from mum, dad, partner, granny to nanny to friend. Our local Branch is 'Perth', which spans the area between Two Rocks in the North, to Mandurah in the South and out to Chidlow in the East. We have a great website with lots of information on how we work, our calendar of walks and a blog with lots of useful information and inspiration. So please, take a look and maybe join us for a walk!     A group to get our local community involved in nature! Organised events are open to all ages. Locations will range from beach, bush and park visits. Activities will be simple, fun and dirty...so come prepared! We look forward to exploring with you!

    Educated by Nature is a social enterprise with a mission to connect families and schools with nature in order to build individual, community and environmental resilience. We run programs such as nature playgroups, children’s activities and school incursions linked with teacher workshops that aim to assist people in feeling comfortable and able to take risks in nature, developing identity within the natural ecosystem. We have modest charges to our programs to create a financially sustainable model for this mission. Any profits are directed back into growing community services for developing resilience through connection. Book a series of our nature sessions for your family: it’s like a mini, fun camping trip right here in the city.

  12. Home Ed Nature Play Group

    This group for WA families following educational paths that do not involve school. Those considering home education are welcome whilst exploring their options. We organise nature-based meet ups in varying locations around the outskirts of the Perth metro area. All members are encouraged to choose a location and post a meet on the facebook page. Most meets are Monday to Friday, generally in the morning, but a few have been organised on weekend.
  13. South West Orienteering Trekkers

    SWOT was formed in 1985 and promotes orienteering, in the bush and suburbs of the south west of Western Australia. Orienteering is cross country navigation, using map and sometimes a compass, to visit checkpoints. SWOT finds suitable areas, maps them, sets courses and runs events.
