Make a Moustache Creative Nature Activity
As shared on our printable activity sheet (find download instructions below), the Make a Moustache activity starts out sharing a collection of funny nicknames for moustaches – like handlebars, whiskers, mouth brow and caterpillar! And invites children to think of other creative nicknames for a moustache?
Step two involves talking about the types of colours, shapes and textures found in nature you might use to create your very own moustache. Will yours be fluffy? Fuzzy? Straight? Curled? Fancy?
Invite children to get exploring outdoors to search for materials for a moustache – items like twigs, grass and leaves. Remind children to only collect loose natural materials found on the ground. You might even challenge your child to find three or five different moustache possibilities!
Now it’s time to grow the mo! Children can choose their favourite nature moustache and balance it on their upper lip. This is a really fun activity to photograph.
The printable activity sheet includes room for children to draw or attach a photograph of themself with their favourite nature moustache.
