Nature Learning Activity: Create a Story in the Sky

Have you ever created a story to tell? This activity will help you to create your very own Story in the Sky.

Exploring Shapes
To get started have a look up to see if you can spot any clouds in the sky. Can you see any interesting shapes? Do they remind you of anything? Talk to a friend about the different shapes of the clouds you see and what they could look like.

Creating a Character
Next, taking inspiration from the clouds, create character to star in your story. Think about what their name might be. Do they have a costume? Do they have a super power? What sort of adventure might they enjoy?

Sharing Your Story
With a friend, start sharing your story. If you’re not sure how to start, we suggest saying “Once upon a time….” Tell part of the story, and then let your friend take a turn at telling the next part.

Take turns in telling a piece of the story. If you’re stuck, start your part with “yes, and then…”

Draw Your Character
