Nature Play WA a Telethon Grant Recipient for 2022

Thanks to the generosity of West Australians, Telethon will be supporting 97 beneficiaries in 2022.  Each year Telethon provides funding for life-changing programs, the procurement of state-of-the-art equipment and medical research into childhood diseases that change the lives of young WA children.

Nature Play WA and a diverse group of 11 to 14-year-old girls are co-designing a Talk ‘n’ Walk app to help turn around the dramatic decline in physical activity among teenage girls that is impacting their physical and mental health. With Telethon’s support we will pilot, refine, and launch the app to at least 800 girls.

We Acknowledge
Nature Play WA acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, as the custodians of the land where our team lives and works. We also acknowledge the traditional custodians throughout Western Australia and recognise the continuing connection of Indigenous people to their land, waters, sky, culture and community. We pay our respect to all Indigenous people of this land; ancestors, elders and young ones.
