Colour Wonderful Nature Activity with Printable

Perfect for school or home, this simple activity can be completed anywhere outdoors – on a visit to the bush, beach or a nature playground, in the school yard, the family garden, or even a vegetable garden! Colour Wonderful Nature Activity

There are three parts to the Colour Wonderful activity;

1. What is your Colour?
The first prompt asks children to choose a colour that represents themselves at that moment. The colour could describe their current mood, or reflect their clothes, or even the weather! This provides a fabulous invitation for discussion about their colour choice and the reasons for it.

2. Explore the Rainbow
Next up, children are asked to think of the colours of the rainbow. Can they name them all? They are then invited to look for each colour of the rainbow represented in nature with a checklist available to mark the ones found.

3. Draw Nature using your Favourite Colour
Finally, children are asked to reflect upon their favourite colour and where it can be found outdoors. They are invited to draw a picture that represents today using your favourite colour.
