My Outdoor Classroom Nature Passport
Nature Play WA’s free, printable My Outdoor Classroom Nature Passport activity booklets support educators to take learning outdoors through the provision of hands-on, nature-based learning ideas with lesson plans and printable activity booklets for kindergarten through to grade six.

My Outdoor Classroom Nature Passport
The activities included in the My Outdoor Classroom Nature Passport booklets have been chosen for their potential to connect students to the outdoors – fostering their natural curiosity, creativity and critical thinking
The activities are written to readily align with a broad range of learning and development areas and the accompanying lesson plans include relevant curriculum links. With framing, these activities can support a robust set of educational outcomes in STEM subjects, writing and literacy, and social-emotional learning.
An Easier Way to Take Learning Outdoors
There are two printable work booklets to choose from. The Lower Primary Booklet is suitable for use with students in kindergarten through to grade two, and the Upper Primary Booklet for students in grades three to six.
Each booklet includes;
- Five outdoor classroom activities (supported by lesson plans) and an invitation for students to develop a sixth activity of their own;
- A โNature Safariโ section for students to record wildlife observations; and,
- Take home family activities such as a โGreen Time vs Screen Timeโ challenge and โ15 Things To Do on the Weekend.โ
Students can use the booklets to record their observations and discoveries to share with both their peers and their family โ showcasing the โoutdoor classroomโ and the value of nature to learning.
