Think outside the box and join Nature Play WA as we build Cockburn Cardboard Central!
When: Saturday 11 September 10.00am – 2.00pm
Where: Manning Park, Spearwood
Cost: FREE (but registration is essential) All ages welcome.
Join us at Cockburn Cardboard Central as we build a cardboard community. We will have city streets marked out for your family to turn a cardboard box into your very own masterpiece to form part of our community – we need post offices, stores, libraries, houses and everything in between!
When you arrive you’ll be provided with:
- Cardboard boxes
- A box of tools from MakeDo for creative cardboard construction! (for you to return when you leave)*
* supplies are limited, and we encourage families to work together while building your creations.
Things you may want to bring with you:
- Coloured textas or paint pens (no paint please)
- Decorations or props
- Money for food or coffee from That Food Truck and The Groovin Beans.
Visit Nature Players at the Construction Zone and help us build a cardboard tunnel. We’ll have some special tools from MakeDo to help us! Collect a cardboard box and join the construction crew.
Our friends from Educated by Nature and the Eco Faeries will be joining us for flag making and a special group cardboard craft project.
Want to get creative? Come in cardboard costume!
Build your own cardboard costume! All registered attendees will receive a special discount code from Zygote Brown Designs to create your own costume. Take a photo of your cardboard creation on the day and post it to social media using the tag #natureplaywa to go in the running to win one of five prize packs to help you continue your cardboard creativity!
Thanks to our friends at Reece, cardboard boxes of all sizes will be provided.
