Learning about the therapeutic power of nature with Nature Play WA

“Taking paediatric therapy into nature” was the theme for discussion at the Nature Play WA breakfast event.

Beginning with a picturesque smoking ceremony at Kaarta Garup (King’s Park) performed by Professor Len Collard, the Governor and Mrs Dawson enjoyed listening to world leaders in child and adolescent health who spoke at the breakfast.

Dr Maren Østvold Lindheim, Professor Helen Milroy AM and Professor Desiree Silva shared their expertise and research into the therapeutic benefits of “getting our kids outdoors.”

The event also included an ‘in conversation’ panel and Q&A facilitated by Nature Play WA CEO Dr Kelsie Prabawa-Sear.
